Sources for Assistance

a.  Give an Hour*

Give an Hour is for anyone who is or has been affected directly or indirectly (through a relationship with someone in the military) by the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Counseling is available for individuals, couples and families, and children and adolescents. They offer treatment for anxiety, depression, substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injuries, sexual health and intimacy concerns, and loss and grieving.

*Give an Hour mental health services are provided at no cost to the Service Member or Family Members - and services are confidential, they are conducted in private settings without affiliation or ties to any military unit or chain of command!

bStrong Bonds** Soldiers may reach Strong Bonds by calling:

1 (703) 601-4448  - Active Duty

1 (866) 839-7438  - National Guard

1 (404) 464-8475  - Reserves

Strong Bonds is a unit-based, chaplain led program that helps Soldiers and their families build strong relationships. The program’s mission is to build Soldier readiness by providing skills the Soldier can use to strengthen his or her marriage and other relationships.

Initially, Strong Bonds was intended solely for married couples, but it has now been expanded to include single Soldiers, families with children, and the special needs associated with deployment and redeployment. In addition, it has been approved Army-wide to include Guard and Reserve units.

Each Strong Bonds program is targeted to meet Soldiers where they are in their relationship cycle and is administered through a training process that culminates in an off-site retreat.

**Strong Bonds is fully funded by your unit, there is no cost to the Service Member or Spouse!

bWeekend to Remember***  1 (800) 358-6329

Weekend to Remember is a weekend marriage conference that teaches God's design for marriage and family. The environment is fun, non-threatening, and sometimes hilarious.  It's a wonderful time for couples to refresh good marriages or heal troubled ones.  Registration is open to individuals, couples, or groups.

Whether you're engaged, newlywed, or remarried, enrich your marriage and begin a godly legacy for your family by attending a conference in a city near you, or plan a memorable getaway to a destination of your choosing.

A Weekend to Remember is a marriage conference, not a Bible conference or spiritual life conference. The focus is on applying time-tested principles to the marriage relationship, using competent and authentic professional speakers, much humor, and media.
